Simulate 2 Educate is very pleased to announce that Enner Glynn Primary School Nelson will be delivering cutting edge health and safety education, designed to provide young people with knowledge that helps protect them and their families as they engage with and use Digital Communication Technology (DCT).

This is a first of its kind module designed to help young people, their families and friends reduce risk when using any form of Digital Communication Technology.

How will this be achieved?

S2e will train teachers within the school to deliver this education for themselves. The school’s agreement with S2e will allow these teachers to access and use all software and learning resources on an as-required basis.

The Philosophy of the Simulate2Educate education

The ultimate goal of this education is to help the student learn to make informed ethical decisions founded on common decency and reasonable standards of right and wrong. Starting early, when the use of DCTs is becoming vital in their lives is essential for the young person, their parents and their school. Such education, discussed and debated and continued through Intermediate and College stages means that as the child develops, so too does their understanding enabling them to match the more complicated situations and pressures they will be facing.

Give a young person the chance to help somebody and they will; show them how they can protect a brother or a sister and they will; show them (especially in a classroom debate setting) how to make a good choice and in most instances they will.
